About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer focused on UNL Maps API to work alongside our Engineering teams in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
At UNL, we are building new ways for companies to use location data. UNL Maps API maintains the highest-traffic read APIs at UNL and the distributed ETL pipelines used by internal and external customers to turn data into maps.
You will be a part of a fast-moving, highly entrepreneurial, and international environment – collaborating with colleagues in Europe, Asia, and around the world.
Responsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer at UNL:
- 5+ years of proven ability to build scalable high volume low latency backend services
- Experience designing scalable system architectures (preferably cloud native)
- Excellent understanding of coding principles, you can write well structured, testable, maintainable code
- Can solve complex problems and communicate solutions clearly
- Expertise in TS, python, C#, Java or similar high-level language
- Have a strong desire to continuously learn, improve, and share knowledge with the team
- Attention to detail, care about the quality of the code and product
- Some experience with leadership and planning
- Excellent understanding of emerging tools and techniques
